Classic Closeouts GOING DOWN
I shopped at classic closeouts to buy a few items. Almost 2 years later they charged me 59 and then 2 weeks later 69.00. I called thier customer service thinking it was a mistake. They never answered my messages or called me back. I could not talk to someone until I selected the phone option to place a new order. The person said that I agreed to join a buyers program and that I should have read the agreement before I checked OK. Seems they were trained to lie and blow off any complaints. I said that I would call the bank and stop payment, and call the attorneys general and Better Business Bureau. They said go ahead, everyone says that but they will tell the band a different story. That made me go ballistic, and I sent letters and emails, found out the owners name and help the New York ATT GEN go after them. They are due in federal court United States v. Defendant(s) DANIEL GREENBERG Case Number 2010R00399 and Court Docket Number 12-CR-00301 A status hearing is scheduled before Judge Arthur Spatt for April 19, 2013, 01:30 PM at Courtroom 1020, Long Island Courthouse, 100 Federal Plaza, Central Islip, NY Please note - Trial is still scheduled for May 29, 2013 at 9am Hope this helps Harry

Classic closeouts
I can not believe all these complaints this was one of my favorite places to buy from and I never got scammed and always recieved my things as described and very fast. I thought the site was wonderful and wish this wasnt going on I bought so much there!!!! What a horrible thing to find out about a site I used and loved so much!! I can not believe that this had happened to people when I had such a great experience every time. What a shame they would do that to their loyal customers. I hope they pay to the fullest extent that is stealing and should be accouted for to the poor people who were robbed!!!!!!

Classic closeouts - closed out!
Everyone here will be happy to know this company does not appear to exist any longer..... I have had good experiences but apparently the bad ones have been heard. Shocked but apparently others will not be... good? perhaps........... I think many will be pleased... others maybe not so much... my experience was ok... but others doesnt look like it // Please describe in 10 words what the Company or Individual did to you. Review / Complaint: DO NOT use ALL CAPITAL LETTERS DO NOT indent paragraphs, instead use empty lines.DO NOT write your report all in one paragraph. Classic Closeouts - FCC suit pending
Classic Closeouts, illegally made unauthorized charges and debits to the consumers' accounts months or years after they bought low-cost clothing or household goods from classiccloseouts.com, the FTC charged. The charges usually ranged from $59.99 to $79.99, and Classic Closeouts charged some consumers' accounts multiple times. Consumers' efforts to contact the defendants to contest the charges were unsuccessful. Many consumers also disputed the charges with their financial institutions. After the financial institutions reversed the unauthorized charges, the defendants contested these disputes, falsely claiming that consumers had chosen to join the Classic Closeouts "frequent shopper club." This case was filed in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York.

Never got my money back
Some where in 2007 i return some clothing back on two separate returns and my ups showed me both was recieved an sign by them but i only got credited for one return which i return two orders in two boxes how can they not know anything about the other return when both was recieve and sign by that person on my ups record.I was ask to show proof of my ups record and i sent it to them and kept getting the same email that they still working on it and after a yer gone by I gave up knowing i already got ripped off until now I still think of it wondering why I haven't got my money refund.How can they refund me on only one return and not the other order wwhich was recieve by them on thesame day.I mean 80 something dollars is still my hard working money and hope everyone that see this become more aware of this company!They got no phone number on their web site for me to even call I got so sick of trying to fight for what that belongs to me thru emails.Well I'm done dealing with trying to when i get my money back but if they get their record more organize maybe someday after all these year i will recieve my refund and will be happy but right now i'm dissapointed.

Merchandise not received and no refund given.
I ordered some merchandise from them and I followed the tracking on FedEx. At the end fed ex returned my package saying that the consumer refused the package. When I checked the address label they put the wrong city on the address label. My package was sent to Pompano Beach and I lived in Oakland Park. I called classic closeouts and explained to them what happened to see if they can reship my package or given me a refund. They did neither and every time I called they kept giving me the run a round. I was told my refund was being processed and it would take time but I never got a refund just the run a round and the manager was always busy or not in. They are just a bunch of crooks.

Ripped off too!
I placed on order online on October 2nd. I received my confimation number by email on my order but I never received my ordered items. I attempted to reach them by email on two occasions with my concerns and never received an email response as to the whereabouts of the items I ordered. Classic closeouts is a perfect example of bad business. I would recommend that you never, never place an order with them. I fear what they will do with the debit card information I gave them as well! This is the first time I have experienced any problem with online orders and I will be very careful in the future!

Frustrated
I made a purchase thru Classic Closouts.com about two months ago for $140.00 and still to this day I have not received my merchandise nor a refund. I have sent several email messages to the company because I cannot find a number to contact them. I am going to file with the Better Business Burea and Amazon.com also. The customer service is awful, I have not had a return message or call back at all. I own a small business and know that customer service is very much appreciated, which this company lacks. I will never never order from them again. They have lost me as a customer.

New Camera - - No battery
Ordered and paid for a new Canon camera, then company rep called and said it didn't have a battery. He tried to sell me a battery at a high price. When I said, no, he then tried to sell me an extended warranty for $169. When I said no, he then offered it for $69, and just keep hammering me to take the deal. When I finally said No for the tenth time, I hung up. I went to check the order status, and it says back ordered. I canceled, hopefully my card won't be charged, as others have written has happened to them.

Classic Closeouts are a bunch of crooks!!
I purchased product from Classic Closeouts in November of 2007. Nine months later they put three charges on my account for $69.00, $79.00 and $79.00. These charges were for website memberships to their buying group. After I disputed these charges with my credit card company, Classic Closeouts put the charges on again. Because I waited too long to dispute this second set of charges, my credit card company (Capital One) refused to take them off. I'm not sure who I am more pissed at, the crooks at Classic Closeout or my credit card company. Do not buy a thing from these guys...they will not answer the phone or return e-mails. How are they still conducting business?

they got me also how can we take them down get them off of the internet i know (God will) we need someone to work on our behalf i thank God i did not use my credit card i have informed paypal so hopefully they will not allow them to continue to use their name when i see paypal i feel safe but now i dont know i will have to just start going to the stores again CLASSICECLOSEOUT.COM you are going to pay and you will give back these people their monies now now now now now now

Classic CLoseout a Fraudulent Company
Classic Closeout has been putting forth charges on my credit card without my consent. I placed a small order and they retained my credit card number and have been sending in charges to Visa for over a year and stealing funds. The company needs a lawsuit and I am encouraging everyone to send in letters to the District Attorney so we can obtain or stolen funds. Please if you have done business with Classic Closeout and you have had funds stolen from you send in your letter. It is important to put and end to this company using the Internet and Visa to steal money. If you have not done any business with them, beware. The company has a 24 hour customer service online and they DO NOT RESPOND TO IT> The business has an answering machine when you call and it has several departments, but all of them say leave a message and they Do Not Return Your Call. My bank representative was able to make contact with a party at Closeout and advised them of over $149.00 in charges made on my Visa that I did not make and the person stated they would return a call do them after it was research, but never did. I plan to file a lawsuit aginst this company for fraud. So, trust me this is not the company you wnat to shop with online.

Classic Closeout Steals From Consumers
Do Not Shop At Classic Closeouts. The company stole $129.98 from my visa account and they are making no effort to return the stolen funds. The company is fraudulent and if you shop with them you will have funds stolen from you as well. Classic Closeout is internet fraud at its highest of standard. The business does not answer the phone after it steals your money or return your e-mails. I have mailed them a letter and no response. They steal your money and are not trying to return it. Instead they pay their staff with the funds they steal from you and operate their business on the stolen funds. DO NOT SHOP AT CLASSIC CLOSEOUTS the business needs to be closed and the employees need to go to jail.

Classiccloseouts never refunded my $57 bucks!
I bought some clothing in classiccloseouts.com on September 5, 2008 and returned them on September 16, 2008 following their return instructions with insurance in it but months have passed and they never refunded my money. I tried sending emails many times and only got one response saying that they'll process it but until now still nothing! Their customer service was so terrible! Customers don't be ripped off. Beware and be careful in buying from classiccloseouts.com, until now they never refunded my $57.96 no matter how many times I tried to contact them. I will never buy from them again.

Classic Closeouts made fraudulent charges
I too found three (3) fraudulent charges to my credit card by Classic Closeouts. One in July 2008, two in August. $69.99, $69.99 & $59.99. Be careful trying to contact them, they are counting on gathering your personal information once you call or write. They may only have your card number at the time charges are made. Of course, they do not answer the phone or emails, but they do hope you will supply them with more info for their documentation against you. Everyone please report them to as many agencies as possible, they are running rampant with this fraud.

Classic Closeouts Ripped me off too
I also made a purchase with Classic Closeouts two to three years ago. Then all the sudden in August I now have 3 charges from them for over $220 total. My credit card company, Capital 1 wants me to pay but I never signed up for anything. I have called and left over twenty messages. I have also emailed with no response. In August they answered once and an employee named David said they have done this too many people. The letter they sent the credit card company is a joke. They basically call me an *** who has just forgotten I signed up three times. I don't know what to do. I am a hard working honest teacher who doesn't have money to throw away.

I DID spend a LOT of money at Classic Closeouts because of their terrific prices. I never had a problem receiving the products that I ordered, but I DO remember having a problem when I tried to reach their Customer Service department and kept leaving my phone number so that they would call me back, but alas, no one would get back to me.
Finally, I emailed them and some guy phoned me saying that he was the Manager but didn't resolve my problem. I ended up emailing him telling him that I was surprised that he was the Manager since he didn't know how to practice the art of Customer Service by keeping his customers happy and that he shouldn't be holding that position because he was doing a disservice to the company. He wrote me back and took care of my problem which is why I had continued to buy products from them.
I AM disappointed to hear that they are no longer in existence, but I DO understand that they did things that were unethical, so in that case, they should've been put out of business and obviously, they were!

i shopped on this site all the time then they charged me twice in one month on stuff i never ordered. I never got my money back or could never get ahold of them. I am still disappointed cause i loved the site.
